Babytattooville this weekend

No they are not tattooing babies. It is an art event in Riverside, some sweeeet artists on the roster. I'll be there too. I'm bringing some things for the Babytattooville pop up store- 24 small watercolor paintings. Cheap. Fun. Mini. Also will have a few copies of my sold out book "Potato Stamp Dreams". I only have a few of these left, very hard to find. Also some zines, and Qee toys. If you're coming, I'll see ya! Looks like only 3 spots left...

Summer Fun!!

This summer went by and I've only blogged a little. Mostly just quick shoutouts for upcoming shows and events. I think it is a little crazier with two kids! Wow Natalie will be 6 months old in a few weeks!!! Whaaaat?? Time is flying! In any case, here is a little piece we like to call "Summer Fun"...

Summer lunch with Taylor, Souther and Lee at Tio's Tacos.

Summer Tomatoes... they were growing good but we had rats again this year. Next year I need a real plan.

Summer Fox! This is a motion sensitive camera that I leave out at night sometimes. This fox comes through a few times a week but this is the best photo I got of it so far.

Summer rabbits... I think this is what the fox is looking for.

Summer graffiti... this is at my studio, now painted over, preparing for my next show...

Summer shave and a haircut.. no I did not keep the handlebars. Eww.

Summer bike riding in Yucaipa!

Summer Soto build your own burrito bar. Actually an all year thing.

Summer loc'd A. Jackson + inadvertent Toyota advertising.

Summer 4th of July cousins looking like they had a long day in the sun.

Summer art show... one of the best shows ever at Riverside Art Museum.

Summer Taylor McKimmens at RAM.

Summer Comicon... sorry no long post- it was kinda all the same stuff this year.

Summer toys... my Seeker prototype debuted at Comicon!

Summer homemade steak tacos. Shit my mouth is watering looking at this pic!

Summer Bashers reunion in San Diego.

Summer Dulok Shaman rockin the house!

Summer preying mantis.

And lastly, Summer first day of preschool for Shannon.

Summer went fast, and i guess it's not technically over, but still. Stay tuned....

Sea No Evil Art Show. Saturday, Aug 29th, Riverside CA.

"Sea Shepherd", 18" x 20", acrylic on wood, 2009.

This is my piece for the Sea No Evil show this weekend. Come check it out, there will be many pieces available from some top artists (see list below). All the work is up for auction, but you have to be there in person to bid! It is a silent auction, so you don't have to wave paddles and all that stuff, just put down what you'd like to bid. Last year some people walked away with some beautiful pieces for very good prices. I am putting the starting bid on mine very low! It is a fun night, very much worth the drive from L.A. and for a great cause. The Sea No Evil website has more info: www.seashepherdartshow.com/

Tiny Showcase- "Self Destructive" print

Thanks to all who purchased my print yesterday from Tiny Showcase. Apparently, it was a record breaking night at TS and my print sold out in minutes! I guess it made some problems too...

I was told it lagged their server pretty bad and there was a problem with Paypal- from what I understand the print isn't reduced from the total edition until the transaction is complete, so sometimes with a fast selling print, people will add the last print at the same time and then they can ALL buy the last print, as they are all doing it at the same time. Basically what happened is the print somehow oversold by 100 in the one or two minutes it was available. They are not sure if it was a glitch in the Paypal system or what, but there were 300 sold plus or minus a few.

So I had to make a tough decision- have TS refund payment to 100 of my fans, or make the print an edition of 300 to ensure everyone gets one? I thought about it all night, and I think the best thing to do is make it a larger edition ensuring no one's disappointed. To those who are bummed about buying a larger edition, let TS know and they can refund your money- there are still many who did not get one. I'd like to do another print with Tiny Showcase, and we will come up with a better system to keep the numbers accurate from the get go.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the support, I feel the love from you guys. Sorry for the glitch, and let me know your thoughts...
