Natalie Rose Soto!!

Natalie Rose Soto has arrived!
Born Monday, March 23rd 2009 at 11:08am. Weighed 7lbs. 80z. and was 20" long.

She is beautiful and perfect and an avid nurser just like Shannon was. Jennifer is doing well, the C section went super smooth (though this one- like Shannon- had the cord around her neck!) and our hospital stay was just two nights. We are both very tired, probably the most tired we have ever been, but things are good. Apologies to anyone who emails me the next couple of weeks, I will do my best to get back to you!

"Turning In Circles" closing and painting demo

The Riverside Art Museum extended my show until Saturday, March 7th. This is your last chance to check it out before the show closes. Thanks to all who have came out- old friends and new ones. Thanks for the support.

I have one final event at RAM, it is a bit of a late addition. I'll be doing an impropmtu painting demo this Friday March 6th. I'll be bringing a few panels to work on and I'll be there to talk and answer questions. This will be a very informal event, basically I'll be sitting in the gallery hanging out and making art. From noon to 4pm is open to the public. After a break I will resume with the demo/talk for patrons of Saffron's Friday night social hour and wine tasting event. Hope to see you there, thanks!

Miami Art Basel Part 2

I started this entry for Art Basel in December, thought it was time to finish it up for good...

Breakfast!

Headed to the big show- Art Basel at the Convention Center. Took a few hours to weed through all the booths. Here are a few things that caught my eye.

We ran into David Choe and he told us about a Peruvian restaurant called Chalan On The Beach. We checked it out and ate there, it was very good. Incoming food porn..

Yeah we were pretty stuffed. The food in Miami is wonderful and filling.

Ran into these guys...Yoskay, Tessar and Edwin. Always nice to see these dudes.

While walking we accidentally found an art show of toy related goodness..

Several of us ended up back at Jonathan Levine's pad and hung out with his staff, Adam Wallacavage and the awesome Kelsey Brooks.

Our plane was very late, and very overbooked but we got on the flight. A very exhausted Jeff and Jon (dang he looks like a pissed off Jedi!)... can't wait till next year, thanks Scion for making it happen.
