Hi Jeff,
I wanted to send you a message but couldn't find your contact info. So I'm just writing a message here. I hope that's okay with you.
First of all, let me introduce myself. My boyfriend, Steve Knapp, is a plumber and your grandfather, Bernie, has been his regular client for a while. Steve happened to be doing some work at Bernie's house earlier today.
Steve noticed all the toys at Bernie's house and Bernie started telling him about you. How you didn't think it was possible for you to finish going to Pasadena Art Center due to the expensive tuition...how you were able to get the scholarship to finish school...and the $5,000 you took out to travel to East Coast...leaving your comfort zone to promote your work and get networking going, etc.
Bernie also told Steve about your charitable work. He told him about how you go visit under-privileged areas and speak to others to inspire/motivate them. Bernie also told him that he's so proud of you especially because you are such a humble person even though you're a successful artist/design with a great talent.
Steve just told me about all these that he heard from Bernie today. Listening to your inspirational story got me all emotional and teary.
I'm a designer/illustrator myself and come from a somewhat poor family. I lost everything -- my single mom, money, almost all my belongings -- at the age of 16 and had lived a difficult life. I've always been so blessed with so many things in my life that I was able to finish going to art school (I never thought I could afford to go to an art school...but miraculous things happened)...and soon start living a pretty comfortable life.
Your background and personal story were very inspirational to me. I love helping others in need as well. I've been regularly helping people and animals in need for several years now but I hope to someday give more back to the community/world as an artist/designer like yourself. If I could one day be my own boss and have enough time to spend with my kid(s), that would be perfect.
My memory is not great but you know what? I vividly remember all the encouraging, kind words people have told me...all the little nice things that people have done for me. I may not remember all of their names or their faces...but I do remember all that. When I feel like giving up, I remind myself of all those people who have been there for me...and that really helps me a lot. I bet you've already touched so many people's hearts and possibly even changed their lives. :)
Keep up the great work and I wish you the best.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year with your family and loved ones!
Thank you so much for all that you've done for others in need. Kind and encouraging words...those are some powerful tools that can totally turn someone's life around.

Ummmm...hi, Jeff. I just left a pretty long message here and "published" it. I don't see it posted here, though. I really hope my message finds you well!

This is soo awesome. Too bad I'm to late :( It would have been one of the finest piece in my collection. It would be great if there will be another edition.
